Description
Weapon Case is a weapon box launched as part of the "Arms Deal" update. It is the first weapon case launched in CSGO and lays the foundation for all subsequent weapon cases, including their rations, forms, etc.
It contains 9 unique weapon skins and some rare items, such as AWP | Lightning Strike, AK-47 | Case Hardened, etc. Since it is the first CSGO weapon case launched, the weapon skins inside are not perfect yet. Later weapon containers will have up to 17 weapon skins and multiple items. Its design is conservative and the colors are calm and not too bright, but it is still widely praised by players and collectors.
History
On August 14, 2013, CS:GO launched a new weapon box, the first weapon box in the game. Whether from the stylish weapon skins inside or the time it was launched, the CS:GO Weapon Case is an extremely unique weapon box and very commemorative.
It even reached a price of $129+ in the official Steam trading market. Among them, classic weapon skins such as AK-47 | Case Hardened and SG 553 | Ultraviolet have attracted many collectors. As time goes by, its popularity in CSGO has not diminished.
Origin
The Weapon Case was part of the "Arms Deal" update, which introduced the concept of cosmetic skins to the game for the first time. The prices of the Bayonet | Case Hardened and Flip Knife | Ultraviolet are still very expensive today, especially the Bayonet | Case Hardened, which costs up to $1,000 in new condition.
The Weapon Case marked the beginning of the CS:GO skin economy, where players could unlock community-designed skins by opening the case. It was also the first time that the concept of a weapon box key was introduced. Its unique commemorative and collectible significance has made it increasingly in demand.
Review
The CS:GO Weapon Case is one of the rarest and most expensive cases, known for introducing weapon skins to the game.
Its release revolutionized CS:GO , with one player noting, ”I’ve played over 2000 hours and never seen an old case drop.” Another shared, ”This case paid me back for all my openings.” While some criticized its RNG mechanics and low drop rates, many praised it for pioneering CS:GO ’s cosmetic market. Today, it remains a symbol of the game’s evolution, valued by collectors and traders for its impact on the skin economy. Its legacy continues to shape CS:GO’s cosmetic landscape.
