B8 team was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Ukraine. It was originally composed of young local players and was mainly active in second-tier events such as ESEA and CCT. In 2022, their overall record was 36 wins and 50 losses, with a win rate of only about 41.8%. Insufficient map pool depth and poor defensive stability were the main shortcomings at the time. Despite the mediocre results, B8 gradually accumulated experience with excellent discipline and low-economy play, and began to attract attention.
The team name “B8” means “Be Infinite“, symbolizing unlimited potential. Its brand strategy is built around youth, resilience and independent growth, without relying on acquisitions by large organizations or strong financial support. It was in this difficult environment that B8 completed the construction of the infrastructure.
Key signings and mature lineup
In early 2024, B8 started to upgrade the lineup and introduced two key players:
headtr1ck (sniper): former NIP member, Swedish and Ukrainian dual nationality, excellent tactical awareness, sniper style tends to be defensive counterattack.
npl (rifleman): played for NAVI team for a short time, has rich LAN experience, good at mid-lane breakthrough and endgame game.
After these two joined, B8‘s tactical potential was quickly activated. In the competition from the second half of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, B8‘s overall win rate increased to 54.6%. headtr1ck’s average rating reached 1.15, and the K/D ratio was 1.27, ranking first in the team; npl completed multiple endgame comebacks in multiple key competitions with an average ADR of 86 per game.
The fixed lineup also brought about a chemical reaction, and the team cooperation became increasingly tacit, especially in Dust2, Ancient and Vertigo. As of May 2025, B8’s win rates on these three maps are 63%, 61%, and 58%, respectively.

Overview of BLAST.tv Austin Major Performance
B8 experienced ups and downs in the Major qualifiers. At first, they started with a 0-2 deficit in the European RMR closed-door match (lost to Monte and 3DMAX), but then defeated PARIVISION, BC.Game, 9Pandas, ENCE, and Astralis in succession, and advanced with a strong 5-2 record, becoming the biggest dark horse in RMR.
After entering the Blast. tv Austin Major, they faced Wildcard in the first stage:
First map (Train): 14-16 loss, slow start, weak execution of explosive bomb tactics.
Second map (Dust2): 13-6 victory, headtr1ck scored 25-9 sniper data, and the rating was as high as 2.12.
The third map (Inferno): 13-2 crushing ended, the defense of the B zone was impregnable, and Wildcard almost failed to get a clean game.
In the three maps, B8 started slowly, but adjusted quickly in the middle and late stages, and the map control rhythm was obviously better than Wildcard. On Inferno, they adopted the classic 2-1-2 distribution + mid-stage counter-pressure strategy to disrupt the opponent’s default layout.
In the entire BO3, headtr1ck scored a total of 62 kills, with an average ADR of 94.7; and npl completed two double kills in the key rounds, which was an important driving force for B8’s reversal.
Tactical analysis: Steady and steady + mid-term control
B8’s tactical style is very layered, and the core concept is “map control as the main, burst point as the auxiliary”. Compared with many aggressive teams blindly fast attack, B8 prefers:
Slow default tactics: especially when on the T side, like to use distributed control points + mid-lane information exchange to interfere with the opponent’s map reading.
Strong endgame mechanism: Relying on headtr1ck and npl’s calm handling in the endgame, the common endgame configuration is 2v2, strong attack on the flank.
Few but efficient explosive tactics: In Eco or semi-strong start, they have won the advantageous game by rushing into B road or double flashing many times.
In the battle between Dust2 and Wildcard, they showed extremely high “catch-up efficiency”: after the B point explosive bomb was fired, the second catch-up suppression was completed within an average of 2.4 seconds, which greatly compressed the opponent’s defense time.
